Drawings of Subject Matter

These are the drawings for my subject matter, Aladdin. I drew out the main iconography of the film. I also watercolours some of the drawings as well.

My Own Type

This is my own type that I created after using different materials to find the right type that I liked and that would fit my theme.

These are type that i have created, which i think would be suitable to incorporate in some of my work.

Typography

I also created some hand drawn type as well, in which I used different materials to create them.

Refined Scamps

After I had created my scamps, I decided to refine them on Photoshop. To refine them I scanned them into Photoshop and then chose colours that were related to the film Aladdin to colour them. I used a variety of colours. By refining them it helped me with my ideas for my final piece.

Emulation

For my emulation, I created prints out of polyester, I used patterns and elements that were related to my theme of Aladdin. When I had created the prints, I inked them in black ink and printed them onto a A3 sheet of paper. Once I had finished printing them, I scanned them into Photoshop to change the levels and threshold. 

Once they were in Photopshop, I created a pattern and used one of my drawings of subject matter to create my emulation.

I repeated the pattern throughout the emulation and used the same colours as some of my refined scamps, as the suited my theme.

After I had created it, I placed my type into it to complete it.

This is my final emulation.
